My journey into dentistry began at the age of six, when I first knew I wanted to become a dentist—a passion that has grown into a lifelong commitment to creating healthy, confident smiles. Since graduating from the Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry in 2005, I’ve had the privilege of working with patients in Turkey and the UK, including at London’s prestigious Harley Street, where I honed my skills in cosmetic dentistry, implant restorations, and laser-assisted treatments.

My approach to dentistry is rooted in personalized, biological care, focusing on minimally invasive techniques that prioritize patient comfort and health. As a practitioner who has worked with lasers since the early 2000s, I am passionate about the advantages laser technology offers to my patients, including precise, painless, and injection-free treatments for everything from decay removal to deep tissue disinfection. The benefits are clear—laser-assisted dentistry not only enhances comfort but often results in quicker recovery times.

In addition to cosmetic and restorative dentistry, I offer specific services such as digital smile design and same-day restorations. I am also SMART-certified by the International Academy of Oral Medicine & Toxicology, which allows me to safely remove mercury fillings as part of a holistic approach to dental health. My experience in implant restorations spans from single units to full-mouth rehabilitations, all using advanced digital workflows to achieve precision and lasting results.
Outside of my work with patients, I lead Seesaw Dental Courses, an international training organization dedicated to advancing laser dentistry across the globe. Sharing our experience with other dental professionals is something I deeply enjoy, as it helps promote patient-centred, cutting-edge care worldwide.

In my personal life, I’m happily married to Dr. Ilay Maden, my mentor, partner, and friend. Together, we have two wonderful children and a lively Labrador. When I’m not in the clinic, I enjoy hiking, swimming, and spending time outdoors, connecting with the same natural beauty I strive to bring out in each smile.

I began my journey in dentistry in Istanbul, Turkey, where I earned my Bachelor of Dental Surgery. I later completed my Master of Science in Lasers in Dentistry at Aachen University in Germany, which shaped much of my professional life. My passion for gum health and innovative treatments led me to pursue a PhD in Periodontology at the University of Istanbul.

Over the years, I have focused on laser-assisted treatments for gum disease, periodontal surgeries, and implantology. My practice is dedicated to providing advanced, minimally invasive care that prioritizes your comfort and long-term oral health.

Educator and Mentor

I am deeply committed to advancing laser dentistry on a global scale. For over a decade, I have trained and mentored dentists in the UK, Europe, Asia, North America, and Australia. As the Scientific Director of Seesaw Dental Courses, I focus on helping dentists enhance their skills in laser dentistry.

I am proud to represent the Aachen Dental Laser Centre (AALZ) and the World Federation for Laser Dentistry (WFLD) in the UK.

As a lecturer, I teach in some of the most prestigious academic programs worldwide, including:

• Catholic University of Sacro Cuore (UCSC), Rome: Master Program in Lasers in Dentistry
• Laser and Health Academy (LAHA)

Through these roles, I have had the privilege of teaching hundreds of theoretical and hands-on courses, sharing knowledge, and fostering growth within the dental community.

Beyond Dentistry

In my free time, I enjoy being in nature, especially trekking in the Lake District. I am also fascinated by technology and how it can enhance both personal and professional life.

I took the VIA Character Strengths self-assessment test and discovered key traits that reflect who I am, including love of learning, creativity, humor, thorough judgment, and honesty. These qualities shape how I approach my work, relationships, and life.
